Nothing Is Pre-Written

A guest sits down at the typewriter and tells me about a moment, maybe an anniversary or a first trip together. I listen, then write a poem for them while they wait, signed on the back and placed in an envelope to take home. A three-hour session writes for eighteen to thirty guests.
